I got these to solve 2 problems in an elegant way: 1) scale down the fabric softener container in my RV laundry room, and 2) measure, mix, and pour a Pine-Sol/Calgon solution to clean our RV black tank.I was worried about glass around slippery liquids and our quartz counter. Turns out this is borosilicate glass – the same as Pyrex – so while I need to be careful it’s not going to be as delicate as a drinking glass.I’ve been looking for the right container in which to mix up a solution to clean our RV black tank. The recipe called for a gallon of liquids to be mixed, but only 4 oz to be poured down the toilet every few days. This pitcher measures a half gallon, marked out every 4 ounces up to 64! Exactly what I need! This was amazingly easy to do, and it looks pretty on the counter.Tomorrow whatever is left in the giant bottle of fabric softener is going into the second pitcher. I’ll be able to ditch that unwieldy bottle plus all the little breakdown bottles now and pour fabric softener directly into the dispenser cup in the washing machine. I’m so excited. There will be more room above my machines (one pitcher replaces 3 bottles), and all the drips from the measuring cup bottle top will be eliminated. GONE in one elegant solution.The only downside was the protective silicone ring on the bottom of the pitcher fell off whenever I picked it up. The glass really needs the added protection in my tiny laundry room with the quartz counter. Reinforcement Solution (Household-Friendly):o For extra security, apply neutral-cure silicone sealant (e.g., standard silicone sealant) by dotting 3-4 small beads inside the silicone ring’s groove.o Tips: ✅ Use non-acidic formulas only. Allow 24-48hrs curing in ventilated areas. ⚠️ Avoid acidic sealants to prevent material damage. ?
